I thought Madame Red might have been set up slightly better as a possible suspect as the murderer (someone remind me if there was any foreshadowing of that point?). Gotta say, if I were to pick a reason for Fleetrun to really like Greil, that would not have been it. I wonder if the revelation of other supernatural agents is going to alter Ciel's way of demanding information of Sebastien (ie. by having him create a standing order to be discreetly informed immediately when he is dealing with a supernatural entity, or with someone who has access to a supernatural entity). Also, Phantomhive Sr. is clearly the model for Sebastien's human form. I wonder why no one comments on this? Madame Red would probably have been tipped the wink by Greil, but Ciel's other assosciates must have noticed something (more so the Japanese uncle guy than the idiot servants, but generally applies to everyone Ciel comes in contact with). Very cool. Loving the show so far.

I was admittedly a bit upset she turned out to be so anti-climatically the villian- there was a slight foreshadow when she mentioned being a doctor last week, (and very quickly her inability to have a child but the details of the fact they`d all had abortions was not mentioned until her reveal) but admittedly it was a very subtle clue. But yeah, I wasn`t impressed, she felt like she should have been a stronger character than that... anyway...
I was a bit confused, this is probably girly, when Phantomhive Sr. (good enough name) was getting close to Red then chose blondie, but since it is from Red`s POV I won`t press the issue much.
Hard to be sure if Older Phantomhive is actually Sebs, human form inspiration... it is an anime after all and god knows we see a lot of look-a-likes, the fact Sr. is always in shadow is a bit of a hint- though either way I`m not too concerned with it...
To be perfectly honest- I`m not sure where my thoughts on this series lie... At the moment I`m neutral to it. I like the silly antics of the less adequate servants and Seb is kinda cool, but it hasn`t won me over yet... still lots to come though...

In all honesty the whole Jack the Ripper escapade ended a lot earlier than I hoped it would, and it might have been more interesting if we had found out about Madam Red and Greil at the end of the episode to lead for a cliffhanger instead of at the beginning, but hey what can you do.
I noticed that Earl Phantomhive Sr. does look a lot like Sebastien as well, but his face is always covered by hair in flashbacks and such, so maybe the audience is supposed to get the connection but not the characters perhaps?
@god-Empress: Its possible he was spending time with both sisters to see which one he prefered, or maybe he prefered Rachel (blondie) from the beginning and was only trying to act like an older brother to Angelina (Madam Red) in order to establish a close family relationship since the two sisters already seemed so close?

@fleet.
It is possible. I think it's more likely Madame Red's biased memory so I'm not worried about it too much.

That is also a likely scenerio, probably the right one even.

I was kinda sad that the Jack the Ripper idea ended so quickly; I was expecting it to last much longer then it did. Of course, Greil showing off his true form was awesome. Now, if he doesn't get offed in the next episode, I will be very pleased. ^^ I would like to see if anything more develops with Sebastian looking like Ciel's father, like if that was Sebastian's inspiration for his current form. kyle: As for me and Becky liking Greil, he's awesome. You may not see him in that way, but we do. It's a lot like Josh wondering why I like No More Heroes. I just do and Josh will just have to remain confused over why .
