So, I'll get started.
The first manga you should read before you die is Rei Hiroe's Black Lagoon. You guys would have seen the anime adaptation during the second Icebreaker meeting, but I find it to be rather inferior to the manga.
For those who forget what Black Lagoon is about, here is a quick refresher. Okajima Rokuro finds himself kidnapped by a group of pirates known as the Lagoon Company and later joins them, adopting the name Rock. Along with the other members (Revy, Dutch and Benny), Rock dives into the seedy underworld of Southeast Asia and finds himself in strange, new situations, including an assassin maid, Neo-Nazis, Islamic terrorists, and sadistic Romanian Twins.
Compared to the anime, the manga is hilarious. Most of his humor comes from Revy's crazy actions, like screaming out the lyrics to a Rob Zombie song while jumping from ship to ship blowing the bad guys up. The end of each volume contains a silly little side comic with the cast of Black Lagoon is silly situations, like Balalaika, the head of the Roanapur branch of Hotel Moscow, babysitting the Romanian Twins or the Lagoon Traders in high school.
In conclusion, this has to be the best manga I have read in a long time and is well worth paying the $13 to get the volumes. The situations are usually hilarious, the dialogue is awesome, and it's rated M (for people kinda tired with M rated stuff being translated in PG-13).

Hellsing.
I know, I know. Vampires. Overdone, big whoop. But we're not talking Vampires of the sparking variety, we're talking Vampires of the insanely awesome variety. The variety that kick ass and drink blood by the gallon. More specifically, the story follows the Vampire Hunters that work in Britain, led by Sir Integral Hellsing, a Royal knight of the Queen of England.
Vampire Hunting is bloody business, so who better to do it than a Vampire? The Hellsing Organization's ace, Alucard, is such a Vampire. Reverse his name and you get his true identity, a Vampire of untold age and power, bound to the Hellsing family as a... faithful guard dog.
This serise is nothing more than epic. Admittedly, it's better for one to watch the Anime first simply because although you'll be blown away by the anime, after reading the manga you'll regard the anime as utter crap. After reading the manga, the OVA is definately worth looking into. Actually based off the manga (the anime splits off around the end of volume 2) the OVA is of immense quality, though it's currently held up in lisencing issues since Gonzo went under.
Completed, this manga is amazing. I suggest anyone with a love of bloody violence and Vampire fun check this out. Great work, amazing series.
